Life Long Care

Sheila Beardy & Peggy Cutfeet

They provide support services and Long term Care Programs to Aboriginal people who are elderly, disabled and who have chronic or acute illnesses that require additional home care support.  They provide support with meals on wheels, Friday lunches for the elders, catering to different organizations and fundraising.

Akwe:go Program

The Akwe:go Program has been specifically designed to provide comprehensive programming to Urban Aboriginal Children between the ages of 7-12.

The goal is to provide Urban Aboriginal Children with the support, tools and healthy activities which will build upon foster their inherent ability to make healthy choices.

Healing & Wellness Program

Charles Williams

Designed to provide crisis intervention support for Aboriginal individuals and families and to advocate on behalf of the Aboriginal people, families and communities in the mainstream health system.

Charles also holds Cultural Night on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 9pm.  They are held at the Friendship Centre and everyone is welcome to come.

Addictions Program

This program is a culture-based program designed to assist Aboriginal individuals, families and communities who exprience problems with alcohol and drug abues. 

Aboriginal Family Support Program

This program is designed to provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal children aged 0-6 years old and their families. 

Combined Courtworker

This program is to assist Aboriginal Adult men, women and families who experience conflicts with mainstream legal system and who require support in many different areas.

Anokeewin Wiichiiwaawin Employment Program

Danica Rattai & Tiffany Schmidt

The program is a drop in employment centre for Aboriginal people (status, non-status, metis and inuit) ages 16 and up who are looking for employment or training.  The offer a variety of services such as computer skills upgrading and training, internet and computer access, employment and career counselling, resume and cover letter develoment, help with applications, job shadows and job placements, training and wage subsidy opportunities, employment workshops (variety of topics), support to newly employed individuals and refferrals.

Hall Rentals

We rent our main hall out for many different functions for reasonable prices.  If you would like any information on renting out our hall or any of our other programs, please do not hesitate to give us a call anytime. 

We are open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Our office assistant will be glad to answer any questions that you may have.
